Some merchants just want to operate their business without someone regularly coming in to check on the ATM and on how things are going with the merchant. They're busy and we get that. Some merchants want to maximize their profit from the ATM and don't mind taking on most of the risk and effort associated with owning and maintaining the machine. Sometimes, even though AMST would love to place a free machine in every business to increase their customer base and bolster their bottom line, we can't always do that. Just because it does not make sense for AMST to own a machine in your business, does not necessarily mean the business would not benefit from having one. Nearly any business will benefit from an ATM. Over time, the ATM would bring net positive income for the business as they would collect the lion's share of the surcharge.
How it works-
AMST will sell an ATM to the business and can install it for a fee. Fees and markups can be reduced or even eliminated with longer agreements. The merchant will own the machine and will typically be responsible for all repairs, services, daily operations, and ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations.
AMST will take a small piece of the surcharge to cover network access, paperwork, and other incidentals with processing. The merchant will set the fees to whatever they wish above AMST's split of the surcharge.
AMST will also offer maintenance, internet, and GPS services for added surcharge or flat monthly fees.
