Much like full service, AMST Financial will purchase, own, install, and be responsible for major repairs to the equipment. The difference with this plan is that the merchant will be responsible for loading their own cash into the machine and typical day-to-day servicing. This would include jams with dispensed cash, reloading receipt paper, rebooting the machine, and handling other low-level errors. AMST would still be responsible for ensuring legal/network compliance, purchasing replacement parts, and handling major repairs when something breaks. AMST will also be on call to assist with any servicing the merchant has trouble completing on their own. This plan still places most of the investment and risk with AMST as the merchant will still get free installation, a free machine in their business, and will not have to risk money for repairs, which can easily be a few hundred or thousand dollars when something major breaks.
This plan enables a merchant to collect a larger portion of the surcharge with a bit of footwork of their own. While the goal of AMST is to provide full service so the merchant is not doing anything but benefiting with having an ATM and collecting a bit of passive income, we understand that this may not be what some merchants are looking for. So we came up with this plan to give them a bit more choice. This also enables us to still provide a free ATM to a qualifying business who may be outside of our immediate service area that would prevent us from easily being able to make regular trips to the location for servicing or respond timely for an easy fix such as rebooting the equipment.
